Kay trained and worked for Vidal Sassoon including, other various top west-end salons. Her dream was to bring a quality, high class, and an affordable boutique hair salon to her local North London, Muswell Hill area.
With Kay’s wealth of knowledge, expertise and passion in all aspects of hairdressing including, customer care, and a bank loan! KayandKompany salon was born.
The first five years of opening were hectic and extremely hard work, especially with two young children and a Greek husband to look after including, a bank loan to pay off! Luckily though, I had my dear mum who helped me achieve my dreams and goals.
I honestly believe that dreams happen if you are passionate about something and prepared to work, 24/7 to achieve them. Plus, I had a family, friends and clients who believed in me and I couldn’t let them down.
However, entrepreneurship, running a business and leadership does not suit everyone, and in my book, that’s ok too. Whatever inspires you and makes you happy is good.
"You don't build a business; you build people, a great team and together, we built the business".
We invest in our hairdressing team with quality on-going training; our great team has made the business, and the KayandKompany salon brand succeed.
The individual client approach is one of our secrets for our excellent, 'good salon'
reputation, and our success.
Our aim, to make
others look and feel fabulous and for us, it is incredibly, satisfying and rewarding.
“Love what I do, my job, my work, our clients and colleagues. Being a hairdresser is also one of my life hobbies!” - Kay Eracleous :)
P.S. One of my beautiful baby girls Ellena Eracleous (who was only one year old when I opened the salon) grew-up to be an amazing hairdresser too! Proud to say, in 2010 we made Elli a KayandKompany salon partner.
